TENKAWA
TENKAWA
The Tenkawa Benzaiten Shrine, with over 1000 years of history, is known as a Japanese shrine dedicated to Saraswati, the deity who governs water and the arts.
For centuries, many Japanese musicians have had the custom of dedicating music to this shrine, and in recent years, artists like Ryuichi Sakamoto and Haruomi Hosono have also dedicated music here. Additionally, it's considered a sacred place in Japan's spiritual world, famous as a training ground for many spiritualists who claim it's a landing site for UFOs, where sightings are frequent.
This is a photobook issued by the Tenkawa Shrine in 1976, featuring images of Buddhist statues, Noh masks, rituals, and landscapes.
